When to use?
Star rating can be used by respondents to rate answer alternatives in questions using stars. This should be used when only one of multiple response alternatives can be chosen.
How to create?
To create a star rating, you click the option in the menu on the left hand side of the screen and it will be added as the last question at the bottom of the page you are currently editing. You will be given an option to label the question with a description or heading but this field can be left blank.
To change your question, click “Double click to add text”.
To change the scale labels, double click on the text “min” left of the scale or “max” to the right of the scale.
How to customise?
Required: Click “Required” if you want the response of this question to be mandatory.
Number of stars: Click “Number of stars” to select to add more stars, or remove stars. Star rating only works with 5-7 stars.
Weight: Click “Weight” to provide you with the possibility to weight the response alternatives. Weighting the response alternatives gives you the ability to draw different types of values in your report. For example, an average value and the standard deviation of the answers.
